As a teacher and coach, I work to guide students and clients towards excellence in their performances in both voice and acting, to instill healthy, functional vocal technique that suits the needs of the material you are performing, and to give you the understanding and insight you need to navigate the world of auditions, rehearsals, and performing. 

     The act of singing and storytelling requires the performer to share deep, inner parts of themselves with an audience - something that is highly vulnerable for professionals and amateurs alike. 

     When I teach, I aim to create a safe and encouraging environment, while asking the student to lean in to challenges so that they can truly grow and expand their abilities. Growth is a process - it requires trial and error, exploration, and willingness to try new things. I’m here to cheer you on, help you make breakthroughs, and incorporate a growing sense of self-confidence as we work together on your singing and storytelling skills. 

     The voice is, anatomically, a very similar instrument from singer to singer. While no two singers sound exactly alike, scientifically we're working with the same toolbox. I believe that with work, play, and growing our understanding of our instrument, any singer can learn to sing the musical genres, styles, and approaches they desire. It’s also important to remember that your voice is yours and yours alone. I want my students to be able to embrace the beauty of their own voice within the learning process, so that they can discover their own full, unique, incredible potential - free from feeling like they need to be someone else. 

     Acting,  or storytelling, is one of most impactful ways that we can communicate with others.
